I have a 35 year old Singer sewing machine that I hadn’t used in probably 10 years! I brought it to Aida to fix. I don’t think I ever really understood how to use it. Simon spent over an hour with me, explaining every detail of the machine. He certainly knows sewing machines and definitely enjoys what he does. I am excited to use my machine again. I recently had my Viking Designer Ruby serviced for the first time in 8 years. I know, I know, should have done it a long time ago but I waited until it was literally limping along. Simon serviced the machine and replaced some parts and it is working like new again. He even gave me some pointers for using my machine – things the manual doesn’t even cover. Great customer service! I will reliably have him service my machine every year.

I was given a very old sewing machine and I took it to Aida Sewing Machine for service. Not only was my machine serviced, I was given a much needed tutorial on its use. I am grateful that I found Aida.

Simon knows his sewing machines. I took my wife’s 100-year old Singer machine in for repair. He promised it would be repaired in three weeks, it was ready in less than two. When I picked it up, he requested my wife and I both come so he could give us a tutorial on how to properly thread, use, and maintain the machine for optimal performance. He was knowledgeable and thorough. I recommend his service to anyone who needs sewing machine repair.

I took a Singer Featherweight, a Viking 6570 (circa 1970s) and a Huqvarna 640 (circa 1980s) in to Simon shortly before Christmas 2021 and he had them all repaired and running like new by the beginning of January! He not only fixed all three, but spent time ensuring that I knew how each one differed from the others and taught me special sewing techniques and tips for each one. The price for all of this was quite reasonable–and less than I was used to paying for a sewing tune-up. Simon and his wife Aida run an amazing embroidery business and sewing machine repair shop–it is truly a sight to behold. Thank you, Simon! I’ll be back next year!

I just bought a new sewing machine and in the middle of a project the machine stopped. Simon not only fixed it in a timely manner he gave me a tutorial on how to use the machine properly. I purchased a used Husqvarna Platinum MN 1000 multi needle embroidery machine they said was like new from a Husqvarna dealer because I currently had one that I had purchased new. The used machine was broken. After multiple attempts to get it worked on through Husqvarna and and several months I found Aida Sewing Machines online. I took my machine to Simon not only did he repair my machine as good as new he spent more than an hour explaining improvements to and ways to use my machine more efficiently and also materials and threads that could improve my small business. I am extremely satisfied and grateful to have found Simon and will only be taking my machines to him in the future .

Simon promised that when I got my Janome back it would be better than new and he did not disappoint me. I have never had someone sit down and teach me how to use and maintain my sewing machine with such knowledge. I thought I knew how to wind a bobbin but not the Simon way. What a difference. He taught me about the “critical position” and always starting with my hand on the flywheel to ease it out of that. The use of industrial needles is going to be a game changer. Simon provided an outstanding service and training on my 2 sewing machines. On the Elna, there was some chewed up gears that led to timing issues and performance. Simon replaced the gears and showed me how to avoid the problem in the future. He spent the time explaining what happened, why, and how to prevent problems in the future. The Husqvarna Platinum had not been serviced since I purchased it and was creating problems with loose stitches and bird nesting. Again, Simon spent the time explaining how best to use the machine, why, and how to keep it running well in the future. He also explained that medium polyester thread cones would work much better than the heavy nylon thread I had been using for practically all my projects while providing several several operational tips. Thank you Simon for schooling me on these machines and how to better use them. You deserve my highest recommendation !
